MOBY - THE GREAT WHITE WHALE

This is Moby Dick - my '98 Dodge 3500 Cummins Turbo Diesel.. Why such a big 'ol truck? Well, to tow the Cruiser, but I always wanted one. So, when I was relieved of the burden of the S-Runner payments, it was time to go shoppin... Found this truck in Texas, the land of big trucks, and BIG bumpers!!

Here's a couple of pics the seller sent me:

It was rougher than it appeared, but nonetheless, I was in love.. a hummin Cummins engine, a supposedly bulletproof ATS transmission (more on that later), and a bumper straight out of Mad Max...

I'm still working the kinks out of it.. the previous owner didn't show her much love.. (or soap & water for that matter).. But it's OK..

Current picture, doing what she's meant to do.. be the FJ Hauler..

Current mods:

HTT 35/40 hybrid with 14cm exhaust housing, Dyno-mite diesel Stage 3 injectors, #10 torque plate, 3000rpm governor spring kit, Di-Pricol EGT, boost, and trans temp gauges in a Rod's Pod, Scotty II intake system (autographed by Scotty!), 4" dual outlet MBRP exhaust, and the crown jewel - a complete transmission built by Diesel Transmission Technology (a.k.a. DTT), which lets me put the power to the ground! It put down 330hp/750lb-ft (at the wheels) on the first dyno run after the injectors and turbo, but with a VERY broad and smooth power curve.

I don't have many pictures right now, but I'm gonna work on that... Expect smoke!! (tire, and exhaust.. :)
