This is my rear bumper and swing out tire carrier. It bolts one inch from the rear cross member, for max departure angle. The rear cross member has been reinforced. The d-rings mount on 1" thick steel, welded front and rear of bumper, going all the way thru. I got them from Goferit Offroad .

 

 

 

 

The bumper and tire carrier again. Then hinge I used is from rockstomper and is very strong. I used a trailer hub to hold the spare tire.
